James Perez

Graduate Student Researcher

James is a Masters of City Planning student interested in the intersection of housing and transportation affordability, particularly around displacement and transit-oriented development (TOD). Before graduate school, James worked for TransForm, a transportation advocacy and community planning non-profit. He is committed to making the planning process more equitable for vulnerable communities - particularly immigrants and low income populations. James has spent his entire life in the Bay Area - growing up in Hayward and receiving his Bachelors degrees from UC Berkeley.
